Forget the Map is an eight-song journey through confidence, expectation, survival, discovery and reconnection.
Blending alternative rock, melodic hard rock and cinematic indie textures, iNDiZA delivers soaring female vocals reminiscent of Evanescence, Wolf Alice, No Doubt, Giant Walker and Veruca Salt. Abandoned tells the story of a forgotten vehicle brought back to life, rediscovering freedom and the open road.
Oxygen closes the album with a cinematic crescendo, reflecting on the sacrifices made to pursue a life closer to nature, freedom and what truly sustains us.
Much of Forget the Map mirrors the life journey of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Scott of SWAZiPOND and iNDiZA. After climbing the corporate sales ladder in Oregon, he left behind a conventional path and moved with his wife to Southern Africa. Settling in Eswatini, they embraced a slower and more connected life—discovering new cultures, wildlife, trees, gardens and communities while living off-grid.
Ten years later, that same spirit of exploration continues. Through remote music production with cousin Casey in Central Pennsylvania and creative collaboration with vocalist Amber, iNDiZA evolved into a platform for storytelling that eventually led to the creation of Spaces In Between Productions, an independent music library and sync licensing company built around authentic, artist-owned music.
Forget the Map is both deeply personal and universal—a reminder that some of life's greatest discoveries begin when we stop following someone else's directions.
